November is an exciting time in Uganda’s academic world! Each year, Primary 7 students across the country sit for the Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE), a rigorous set of national exams covering Math, English, Social Studies, and Science. The stakes are high: only students who pass can continue on to secondary school in January. Thanks to their own hard work and determination, along with the support of their parents, teachers, and Give Us Wings, this year’s Primary 7 cohort in the Family to Family program is prepared and ready!
Every one of these students has been part of the Family to Family program since their very first year of Primary school. We’ve watched them grow, work hard, and mature, and now they’re ready for the next big step in their education. Their families are incredibly proud of these students, and so are we. Please keep them in your thoughts as they sit for their exams!
“I want to thank you for choosing for me such a wonderful school like Maama Junior. In fact, it is the best school in Eastern region. I would like to inform you that I am looking forward to sitting for my PLE in November. I am revising my books so shard so that I can excel in my PLE. What made this term interesting was when we went out of our school to study on how to answer the PLE. I am so proud of our school. Maama Junior is the best school in my life ever. Thank you. May you live for a thousand years.” — Achieng B.
