Give Us Wings major supporters gathered together in Saint Paul on November 5 for another memorable Evening of Hope. Executive Director Peter Carlson shared stories of perseverance and progress from our Ugandan partners from the past year as well as hopes for the coming year.
A highlight of the evening was the presentation of the 2026 Restoring Hope Award to Katie Gabriel! This award is presented to a person who has demonstrated perseverance and creativity as they dedicate their time, talent and resources to help the people of Uganda. As fellow Board member, Ali Britton, shared in her introduction of Katie, “I think there's something especially fitting about honoring you with an award called Restoring Hope. Because when I think of you, I think of someone who brings hope into the lives of others, not just through what you do, but through who you are.”
